VIPR ®
(Video Interactive Performance Review)
developed by ASAP, is a High Performance Team training approach built on video-reviewed, well-choreographed execution of team members' roles. Each student is video-recorded performing each role in the ASAP response; their performance is reviewed, and areas for improvement are identified. In the past, the student was reliant solely on the evaluation of the instructor, making the student a passive recipient of the evaluation. VIPR makes the student an active participant in their performance evaluation. VIPR provides the student with the ability to observe and critique their own performance. This individual approach is then expanded to the team response, with team members collectively evaluating the team response. This is where team members learn to give and receive constructive criticism.
